Like your hair, eyelashes fall out naturally. Many factors can affect how long you lash extensions last.
Follow the appropriate care instructions to prolong the life of your new lashes.
Misencil eyelashes need minimal care. It is necessary to use OIL-FREE products for your eyes (makeup remover, eye-shadow, etc).
This can affect your extensions' life-span. For best results, use Misencil Natural Cleansing Gel.
For the first 2 hours after the application, avoid getting your lashes wet.
Avoid swimming, sauna and steamroom for these 2 hours
If you experience any irritation or itching, contact your technician as soon as possible.
Do not use waterproof mascara for 2 hours after the application. Do not use waterproof or "tubular" mascara.
We recommend Misencil mascara.
Do not use an eyelash curler; do perm or tint your Misencil lashes.
Do not pick, pull, or rub your extensions.
Avoid using Q-tips and cotton, as fibers can adhere to the extensions.
If using Q-tips to remove eyeliner, be sure to saturate with oil-free makeup remover so that fibers will not catch.
If you wish to achieve a more spectacular result, it is recommend you see your technician for a touch up 2 - 3 weeks after
the first application. Use the Long Lasting Coating 1 - 2 times a week.
First time coming in for eyelash extensions?
Here are some things you might want to know before arriving for your appointment:
- You will be asked a few questions about your eyes and lashes so the technician can better understand your wishes.
- You remove make-up and contact lenses before beginning.
Cleansers, contact solution and cases are provided for your convenience.
- You lie down on a massage-table for 1 - 2 hours while your lashes are individually applied.
The technician will request before and after photos for her records.
- When you make your appointment for your new look, be advised that you will not be able to wear mascara for 48 hours after the application.
